HOW EACH ROUND WORKS

FOUR FORMATS. ONE CUP.

Four ball and scramble are match play. The final individual round and the standalone Par 3 contest are stroke play. Handicaps apply only to the final individual round.

01MATCH PLAY

WEDGEFIELD · FOUNDERS CLUB

Four ball

Two golfers play as a team, each playing their own ball. Your team’s lower gross score on each hole is compared with the opposing team’s lower gross score. The lower score wins the hole; equal scores halve the hole.

Win more holes than the other team. The match ends when a lead exceeds the holes remaining, or after 18 holes. Each pairing is worth 1 Cup point; a halved match gives each team ½ point.
02STROKE PLAY · ONE WINNER

AERO CLUB

Par 3 contest

Everyone plays their own ball and records a gross score on each hole. Add all 18 hole scores: the lowest total score wins the overall Par 3 contest.

A standalone contest with one overall winner. No Cup points and no team matchups.
03MATCH PLAY

LITCHFIELD

Two-person scramble

Both partners hit a tee shot, choose one ball, then both play from that location. Repeat this process until the ball is holed. Record one shared gross score for the pair on each hole. The lower team score wins the hole; equal scores halve it.

Win more holes than the opposing pair. Each pairing is worth 1 Cup point; a halved match gives each team ½ point. Use the scramble drop rule below.
04STROKE PLAY

RIVER CLUB · FINAL ROUND

Individual round

Each golfer plays their own ball for all 18 holes. The higher-handicap player receives the difference between the two handicaps, one stroke on each hole in order of difficulty (stroke index 1 first). Compare the resulting total net scores with your scheduled opponent. The lower total wins the pairing; individual holes do not decide this round.

Each of the four pairings is worth 1 Cup point. Equal net totals give each team ½ point. Points are awarded once both players complete all 18 holes.
